At Quarriers Foxden Service, young people with complex needs enjoy individually tailored short breaks in a happy, stimulating and safe environment. We provide support on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week.
We support young people to develop their independence and life skills. We treat each young person as an individual, and the support they receive is tailored to their needs.
“It’s a warm, friendly place and it feels like a family home.”
Quarriers Foxden Service has four bedrooms, including a ‘safe space’ which means that children with particular needs can feel safe away from their home environment. Public rooms include a large lounge, dining area and a sensory room, which has been fitted with specialist mirrors, soft furnishings and lighting, and allows the young people to choose which music they listen to.
Our vehicle is adapted for wheelchair use and the service has an activity plan in place which reflects the individual needs of the young people. The service is within close proximity of many local amenities to make the most of day trips out.
“All staff are friendly, caring and go out of their way to help if they can.”
Staff receive a high level of training in a number of areas and hold, or are working towards, Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification. A programme is in place to ensure their continuous development.
We ensure the service complies with the Quality Standards and the principles of choice, safety, equality, diversity, privacy, dignity and realising potential.
“Young people make good progress and have positive outcomes in all aspects of their lives.” – OFSTED report
