Policy

Quarriers’ policy work seeks to bring about positive change for vulnerable children, young people, adults and families who face extremely challenging circumstances such as homelessness, learning and physical disabilities and epilepsy.

Our key areas of activity

Quarriers aims to gain a clearer understanding of the support needs and experiences of the people we support and how this can best be delivered at a local and national level.

We engage with the policy environment through contributing to and informing current debates; influencing political decision making through formalised lobbying activities; undertaking and commissioning research as well highlighting learning from our extensive experience of service delivery.  We work collaboratively with a network of third sector social care organisations to both influence and formulate policy. Our key areas of activity include:

  • Consultation responses
  • Publications and briefings
  • Campaigns and coalitions

WAR on Hate Crime

Quarriers WAR on Hate Crime: We’re All Responsible campaign was launched in February 2015 to tackle hate crimes against people with disabilities.

We believe that everyone has a responsibility to ensure that hate crime is not accepted in today’s society.

By signing up to support our campaign you too can take a stand against hate crime.
