Our Merrybrook Service in Quarriers Village provides residential respite and currently has one available place for a male or female aged over 18.
Quarriers Merrybrook Service supports adults with a learning or physical disability and a range of complex needs including cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury and Rhetts syndrome.
Our highly skilled staff can provide support with moving and handling, gastronomy PEG feeding, diabetes management, seizure management, and bowel and continence care.
We believe in supporting people to make choices about what they would like to do. We support people to be part of the community and use risk assessments so they can take part in a range of activities such as adapted skiing, go karting and water sports as well as accessing social groups, meeting with friends and families and attending health appointments.
Communication is key to the support we provide, and we work with technology such as Eye Gaze to ensure that even people with extremely limited communication have a voice and can make choices about the support they receive.
