Meet the team that manages Quarriers

Quarriers Executive Directors are responsible for managing a large and exceptionally gifted social care team. This involves implementing a host of user-focused policies, coordinating teams of project workers and support staff and balancing the books.

Alice Harper

Chief Executive Officer

Alice Harper joined Quarriers in July 2012 as Service Director/Deputy CEO.

Alice previously worked for Momentum, a national charity which is part of the Irish based Rehab Group as an Executive Director: Head of Health and Social Care. Prior to Momentum she worked for another national charity Community Integrated Care as an Executive Director: Independent Living Services.

Alice has held a variety of senior positions in England and Scotland in both the public and social care sectors. Until July 2012,  Alice was also a Trustee on the Board of the Chaseley Trust in East Sussex, and for Auchlochan Retirement Village until May 2012.

Andrew Williamson

Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Andrew Williamson joined Quarriers as Head of Adult Services in 2013, and became Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2014.

Andrew has extensive experience within the retail and care sectors and specialises in managing large scale operations and projects.

Prior to working with Quarriers, Andrew was Regional Director at Care UK Scotland.  He was also a Regional Director for East of Scotland with Southern Cross before moving to Care UK.

Niall MacPherson

Director for Finance and Corporate Services

Niall is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has held senior finance roles in retail and technology businesses in both the private and public sectors.

Prior to joining Quarriers in December 2010 he was Head of Finance at ITI Scotland Ltd, a Scottish Enterprise-funded project which commercialised world-class technology programmes in the energy, life sciences and digital communications sectors.
In 2005 Niall completed the Cranfield Business School General Management Programme.

Ann Parkinson

Director of IT and Information Management

Ann Parkinson joined Quarriers in 2009 and has held both front line and IT roles. She was appointed as Director of IT and Information Management in 2018.

Ann has over 13 years’ experience in the electronics industry, and two years’ experience in the education sector. She holds a BSc Electronic Systems and an MSc Business Information Technology.
